Military Records
Lambton County has made important contributions to the Canadian military. This research guide will identify various records and resources in the Archives' collection and will also identify extremely useful online resources to assist you in your Canadian military research.
Researchers must keep in mind that due to privacy laws, the military records that have been released only cover (for the most part) up to and including the First World War. Official military records after that point (such as the Second World War) are too recent and are still protected by privacy laws.
[The exception to this is that the records are open for the Second World War for service members who died in service.]
